A PRELUDE TO A RANDOM KISS CONCERT

Magic & Vegas for a first timer!

Hello fellow foxes!  For those of you that do not know me, let me introduce myself.  My name is Rachelle Alvarez and I am the facilitator for Foxbait LLC. What’s a facilitator you ask?  I assist the designers in every way possible to keep their focus on creating for the brand. Business opportunities, PR, social media, fabric sourcing, scheduling, runway, model management, etc. you will more than likely be directed to me.  

So this was my first time attending Magic Trade Show and FIRST TIME IN VEGAS! Needless to say it was a memorable time!  The night we left we had a fitting for our SS16’ LePrintemps Collection.  Which is available now for pre-order! We didn’t get on the road until 10:30PM after picking up Brett from Kid Dangerous we arrived in the wee hours.  Las Vegas twinkles bright like a thousand lights hitting a fabulous sequin dress.  Naturally I was in ahhh because I love everything shinny. As tempting was it was to start the Vegas adventure we had a night cap in the room and headed to bed to wake up a few hours later. 

Walking the floor was a lot like the jewelry shows that I’ve attended over the last 15 years, every booth has a story to tell and some more exciting than others! I have to say my favorite show was Project.  I saw a lot more brands hungry for the attention of buyers and passerby’s. Innovative displays and interactive pieces captured my attention.  Three ideas stood out to me. The first was the overly large mannequins with almost alien vs. high fashion faces.  The next was a photo booth with props that lured you over to have a good time.  The last was a live photo shoot that was happening on the carpet in front of their booth.  I must say that there is nothing more of a turn off than people sitting on their phones not engaging the crowd.  If they weren’t interesting than why would their brand be? Kudos for those who made an effort! Great learning experience and it was obvious to me that there was not a brand that was quite like Foxbait!  There is a need for us in the market! We are coming for you Vegas! 

Work hard, play hard!  After attending the shows a little fun was in order! We hit the town; first stop Plant Hollywood for Britney Spears Piece of Me Show.  Amazing! Rocked the dance floor at Hakkasan and mingled through the casinos.  Las Vegas is defiantly a playground for adults.  The trip was a success! We made great contacts and future partnerships.  A beautiful collaboration of fashion, business and marketing for Foxbait!
